sales of its Zyprexa schizophrenia treatment, sending shares higher in pre-market trade.

The Indianapolis drugmaker, whose shares were up 3.4 percent, said it expects 2006 earnings of $3.10 to $3.20 per share, excluding special items.

'Working Wounded': Constructive Criticism Natural-Gas Prices Hit a Record High Shopping Undercover That translates into growth of 8 percent to 12 percent over expected 2005 results, the company said in a release.

"This growth rate is nearly double the average Wall Street consensus forecast for large-cap pharmaceutical companies," Lilly said.

Analysts polled by Reuters Estimates on average have forecast earnings of $3.08 per share for next year.

The company said fourth-quarter 2005 and full-year 2005 earnings should to be at the "high" end of the company's previous forecast range...
